on to better pumpkins (hopefully)

so tomorrow is my first day of work at my third job in the last year. wish me luck. i will need it with my job seeking history :) i will be working for a travel tour company booking all of the flights for their clients. the best part of it is very little customer contact, no customer service ie no people moaning at you day in and day out. after almost 3 months off of work, most of which were spent packing, unpacking, shipping, sorting out car insurance, unsorting out car insurance, arguing with the car insurance people about the worth of the car that was totalled, i am more then ready for a little routine. i am sure working again will be a shock to the system, but i am hoping i can adjust and even like being back on a regular schedule. it is definitely something that both of us need right now.

meanwhile, i have been doing my best to enjoy my last weekend of freedom. one nice thing about having been off work for the last month or so was that we have been able to enjoy fall in new england, without a doubt my favorite time of year. we have been able to spend a alot of time outdoors walking and looking at the foliage. and the weather has been absolutely gorgeous. cool nights, warm sunny days, and clear skies all around with the exception of one or two days. so given that it was my last chance for freedom this weekend, i decided to brave boston's pumpkin festival with some friends of mine yesterday. basically, the city of boston decided to carve and light 30,000 pumpkins in one afternoon in order to break the world record. needless to say it was a total madhouse abundent with large carving knives and barbecue lighters galore. i was a little disappointed in the pumpkin pie (which was frozen) but it was a beautiful afternoon, and i had fun looking at all the pumkins. here's a few photos:
