surviving football

in an attempt to survive yet another weekend of watching football with the hubby, i decided to update my blog (rather then talk his ear off with my dumb questions about the game....even though i never listen to the answers anyway as my eyes glaze over and think about what i am going to wear tomorrow). seriously people, i have watched almost the entire patiots vs colts game without picking one split end, asking any dumb questions (well okay maybe i asked one), and without stuffing myself silly with junkfood to overcome my boredom. and this folks is major progress. i really do want the pats to win....so i don't have to listen to my hubby moan all night about how they lost AND new orleans lost and life sucks. lucky me that the super bowl falls on the exact date of our two year anniversary this year..... at least it's not cricket which is by far the most boring sport on earth :)

despite my little rant just now, we have had a very fun, yet relaxing weekend. today we went out to concord and lincoln and walked 5 1/2 miles in Minuteman National Park. i wanted to show my Brit just exactly where it was we kicked his pasty ass centuries ago when the Brits invaded. it was freezing all weekend, as winter has finally arrived in it's proper form now. but at least today we didn't have the 45mph artic wind that was yesterday. even though it was cold, it was beautiful and sunny and i take sunny and cold any day over coolish grey drear that is london's winter (i know i amgoing to eat those worlds later). yesterday we went to the decordova museum. if you haven't been there....go go go! it is a lot of fun, they have some great photography, the building itself is great, the view is fantastic, and best of all is the sculpture garden. jon was particularly fascinated with the "trojan chicken", while i personally loved the sharks hanging from the trees and the "musical wall" where you got to take a big old stick and wack the silver bars to make it sound like chimes ringing.

here are some pics from my cell phone:
