TGIF

happppppeeeeyy friday everyone (i am still in denial that no one reads this thing anymore, so I have to pretend there is still an "everyone" out there somewhere). this week has lasted forrrreverrrrr. without going into detail, it seems my days are becoming numbered here at my current job. it isn't that there are any concrete plans for me to leave, or any reason i know of that they'd want me to leave. i know i do a very good job. i always take pride in doing jobs well even if i am not crazy about them. but let's just say there has been a shift in my thinking about the security of this crazy circus over the last few weeks. it is hard to trust in and rely on a company (which shall remain nameless) that basically doesn't trust you.

there are countless examples, but the latest is the decision to change to a new health insurance plan (i'm sure it's all about $$$) in addition to a mandatory pee test. yes, you heard right, we literally had to pee in a cup (in the CEO's office, no less) to show that we are non-smokers and could qualify for the reduced rates, which by the way are still $50 more a month then we were paying before. oi vey...

so on that note, we are off to see Sicko tonight. I heard it's v good...but I have a feeling it might make me v mad too...nothing a large pint or two won't fix though ;)
