i've been trying to do some spring cleaning by changing my blog around. i was craving green, as you can see. but in the process i managed to delete all of my archived posts, and i don't know how i did that or if i can get them back. i am really hoping it isn't a case of "in with the old, and out with the new". wish me luck.
speaking of in with the new, and greenery....
i was on my way to work this morning bright and early at 6:15am when i noticed some flowers poking their noses through the ground. i thought i was hallucinating as the snow has only just melted over the last few days (and i hadn't had coffee yet), but they were definitely snow drops. i could hardly contain my excitement. there is nothing like the first few signs of spring in Boston, and i had forgotten the joy it can bring (at least for a few days until it snows again). as my friend at work said, "what are they the stupid flowers coming up, the ones who don't know any better?". but still...i will definitely take it. i don't mind the cold and the snow, but the sheer length of winter in these parts means we have to grab onto these things when we see them, even if they are the dumb flowers :)
